EHS Manager
Location: Near San Fernando, California
Salary: $125,000 – $140,000 + up to 10% annual bonus

Talent STEM are partnering with a major global manufacturing group seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Manager for a key facility near San Fernando, California.
Operating across multiple international markets, the business is a large, established manufacturer with a significant global footprint and a reputation for technical excellence, innovation and high standards of operational performance.
This is a hands-on site leadership role within a regulated, high-specification manufacturing environment. The position will take responsibility for supporting the development, implementation and continuous improvement of environmental, health and safety programmes across the facility.
The successful candidate will work closely with site leadership, supervisors and employees to maintain regulatory compliance, reduce operational risk and strengthen the EHS culture across day-to-day manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide EHS direction, guidance and technical support to site management and employees
Support the implementation and ongoing development of the site EHS Management System
Maintain compliance with Cal/OSHA and applicable local, state and federal EHS requirements
Coordinate incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective and preventative actions
Lead Job Safety Analysis, site risk assessments and risk mitigation activities
Support Management of Change processes across manufacturing operations
Carry out industrial hygiene activities including air monitoring, noise monitoring and ventilation assessments
Support and develop PPE and occupational health programmes
Spend regular time on the production floor engaging with employees, supervisors and management
Deliver EHS training and support site safety committees
Participate in Emergency Response Team activities
Conduct internal EHS reviews and self-audits against company standards and regulatory requirements
Monitor EHS performance and identify opportunities to improve key safety and environmental KPIs
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Safety Sciences, Occupational Health, Environmental Management or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years' EHS experience within manufacturing or a closely related industrial environment
Strong working knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations
Experience supporting environmental compliance requirements
Good knowledge of EHS management systems and risk management principles
Practical experience of incident investigation and root cause analysis
Experience of industrial hygiene activities would be highly advantageous
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees and senior leadership
A hands-on approach and the ability to balance strategic improvement projects with day-to-day operational support
CSP or GSP certification would be advantageous but is not essential

Base salary of $125,000 – $140,000
